March 10th, the release of Anchor Collective's Album "Atlas", brought out a diverse and bright group of people to appreciate great music together. The Stache Drinking Den and Coffee Bar, located in Fort Lauderdale, often has a interesting and diverse crowd that come in, all appreciating music and entertainment. The bar is homey, and the stage well lit for the performers.

First to perform was Del Pelson, starting the night with their jazzy and upbeat alternative/jazz rock sound. Del Pelson brought the stage to life with a presence that kept everyone's eyes on them. Towards the end of their set, the lead vocalist and their keyboard/saxophone player went into the audience and had fun dancing around the crowd. A group like Del Pelson is destined to stay together and make music, good music that makes people happy for the soul purpose of making music. While I watched their set, I was reminded of The Maine's early stuff such as The Way We Talk and Listen To Your Heart. These guys are a group that I will definitely make all attempts to see again, as they put on a great show and are really cool guys in general.

The second group was The Anchor Collective, and with their release of Atlas, they commanded the stage with a certain authority with their songs. The Anchor Collective is it's own sound, with fantastic presence and well thought lyrics. The group is reminiscent of Mumford and Sons when live, guaranteed that you'll want to keep listening throughout the set. Neither group had the audience bored, and the audience was really listening and taking it all in from both Anchor Collective and Del Pelson.

The video above is one I've been promising! Hope you enjoy. If you'd like to connect with Anchor Collective and Del Pelson, their information is below as well as The Note's new twitter and youtube channel!
